Jacob wool is the classic hand spinners wool. Perfect for hand spinning, hand felting and many other craft uses. Jacob wool is a sought-after fiber for spinners seeking a durable wool with a good staple length. It has a fair amount of loft and spring to it and has just enough luster to give the finished yarn a beautifully subtle sheen. Jacob wool ranges from 26-37 microns. The micron varies as it depends on what the mill has received and can vary each run. It should be considered a medium coarse wool based off the micron count range. Jacob wool is a well-liked wool and used often by spinners as the staple length is 3 – 7 inches and spins well for beginners.
